SellOrchard

Electronics

Product pages that answer the spec sheet

Electronics shoppers arrive with a checklist: connectivity, battery, compatibility, stock. Give them the specs, the filters and a way to hear the moment it’s back.

  • Specs & filters
  • Back-in-stock alerts
  • Care-plan add-ons
  • Reseller pricing
  • Licence keys

Where sales slip away

Gadget buyers leave the moment a detail is missing

  1. Specs buried in paragraphs

If the Bluetooth version is in sentence four of the description, shoppers go back to the search results to find it.

  2. Sold out means gone

A launch sells through in two days and every visitor after that leaves with no way to be told it’s back.

  3. Resellers want their own price

Installers and shops buying by the box expect trade prices — not a discount code shared in an email.

  4. Software sold by copy-paste

Licence keys emailed by hand go missing, get sent twice, or run out without anyone noticing.

How SellOrchard helps

Six features, one job each

Every block is a different part of SellOrchard, with its own feature page.

Specs & filters

Part of Products & inventory

Specifications shoppers can filter by

Give products label-and-value specs and turn chosen specs into storefront filters.

  • Spec rows such as “Connectivity — Bluetooth 5.3” on each product
  • Filters by spec, option, brand, price, in-stock and on-sale
  • Variants with their own SKU, GTIN, price, stock and image
  • Specs are translatable when you sell in more than one language

Back-in-stock alerts

Part of Products & inventory

Sold out is a waiting list, not a dead end

Shoppers leave their email on a sold-out variant; the alert goes out automatically when you add stock.

  • Sign-up on the exact sold-out variant (the silver one, not just the model)
  • Emails sent automatically as soon as stock is added
  • A “waiting” count per variant on the inventory page
  • Low-stock thresholds per variant so you reorder in time

Custom product fields

Part of Products & inventory

Care plans and device details at checkout

Product fields collect extra choices and information, each with an optional price.

  • A checkbox add-on such as “2-year care plan +$29” — the terms are yours to set and honour
  • A required text field asking for a device serial number on repair or upgrade services
  • Answers saved on the order item for your support team

Wholesale & B2B

Reseller prices behind a trade login

Put resellers in a customer group and they see their own prices when signed in.

  • Fixed group prices per variant, or a percentage off retail
  • Quantity breaks such as “Buy 10+ for $129 each”
  • Pay by invoice with 7–60 day terms for approved groups
  • A minimum order value per group

Licence keys

Part of Digital products

Software and firmware add-ons with keys

Upload a pool of licence keys and each unit sold is given one automatically when the order is paid.

  • Paste keys in bulk, one per line, per product or per variant
  • A warning email when five or fewer keys are left
  • If keys run out, the order still completes and you assign keys from the order page

Apps & API

Sync stock with your supplier’s system

A versioned REST API and webhooks connect your catalogue and orders to the tools you already run.

  • Scoped API keys for products, inventory, orders and customers
  • Webhooks when orders are placed or stock changes
  • Test-mode keys (so_test_) on the free trial

    List it properly

The headphone goes live in Black and Silver with spec rows for driver size, codec support and battery life, and GTINs on both variants.

  2. Wednesday

    Silver sells out

The silver variant hits zero. Visitors leave their email instead; the inventory page shows the waiting count climbing.

    Back in stock
  3. Thursday

    A care plan at checkout

A shopper ticks the “2-year care plan +$29” box on the product page; it shows on the order as an add-on.

    Custom fields
  4. Friday

    Stock lands

The new delivery is booked in and every waiting shopper is emailed automatically.

    Back in stock
  5. Next week

    A reseller reorders

An installer signs in, sees trade pricing, buys 25 units at the 10+ break and pays by invoice due in 30 days.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Does SellOrchard track serial numbers?

There’s no dedicated serial-number tracking. You can collect a serial number from the shopper with a custom product field (for example on a repair service), and it’s saved on the order item.

Can I sell extended warranties?

You can offer a care plan as a paid add-on with a checkbox field on the product. SellOrchard charges the add-on; the warranty terms and how you honour them are yours.

Can shoppers filter by technical specs?

Yes. Choose which specs appear as storefront filters, alongside options, brand, price, availability and sale items.

How do back-in-stock alerts work?

On a sold-out variant shoppers enter their email. When you add stock to that variant, SellOrchard emails them automatically. Alerts aren’t offered on variants that are on pre-order.

Can I sell software licences?

Yes. Make the product digital, upload a pool of keys and turn on licence keys; each unit sold is given one when the order is paid.
