Choosing
Which one fits you
An honest read of the comparison above. The right answer depends on how you sell.
SellOrchard may suit you if…
- You want to take payments through Stripe, PayPal, Square, Authorize.net or NMI without a platform fee on each sale.
- You sell appointments or repeat orders and want bookings and subscriptions included from the Pro plan, rather than added as separate apps.
- You run trade accounts and want wholesale pricing and invoice terms on the entry plan.
- You sell age-restricted products and need an age gate and ID checks built into checkout.
Shopify may suit you if…
- You need many languages on an entry plan — Shopify allows up to 20 on Basic.[4]
- You plan to use Shopify Payments, which is exempt from third-party transaction fees.[2]
- You need an enterprise plan with up to 200 inventory locations.[1]
- You would rather add features one by one from the Shopify App Store.

Questions
About this comparison
Does SellOrchard charge a fee on each sale?
No. SellOrchard adds no transaction fee on any plan, whichever supported payment provider you connect. The provider charges its own processing fee.
Can I bring my products over from Shopify?
Yes. The product importer reads a Shopify product CSV export: names, descriptions, variants and options, prices, stock, SEO fields and image URLs (images are copied into your media library). Products are matched by SKU or handle, so you can re-run an import to update them.

From Shopify's own public pricing and help pages, checked on October 17, 2026. Each fact links to its source at the bottom of this page. Shopify can change its plans at any time, so check its site for current details.
