What you edit is your actual storefront
The editor loads your storefront in a live preview frame and redraws it as you work, using your real products, categories and menus. Select any element to change its text, spacing, colours, borders and typography, or drag it somewhere else in the navigator.
Switch between desktop, tablet and mobile and adjust each one on its own: a three-column grid on desktop can become a swipeable single column on a phone without touching the desktop layout.

From draft to live
Change a live page without breaking it
Edits are saved as a draft next to the published version, so shoppers keep seeing the current page until you decide otherwise.
Step 1: Start a page or design
Begin empty, from a saved section or page template, or duplicate an existing page. Page templates come in default, full-width and blank canvas.
Step 2: Edit the draft
The draft saves automatically as you work. Global colours and fonts keep every page on brand — change a global colour once and it updates everywhere it's used.
Step 3: Preview privately
Open the draft on your real storefront with a private preview link before anyone else can see it.
Step 4: Publish, or roll back
Publishing replaces the live version. Each publish is kept as a revision you can restore, and unpublishing takes a page offline without deleting it.

Start from a finished design if you prefer
Every store can install one of the six free SellOrchard themes, which are themselves built with this editor. Installing a theme sets up its header, footer, product and collection templates and pages — then you keep editing them here like any other design.
Do I need to know code to use the builder?
No. Everything is visual: you drag widgets, type on the preview and adjust settings in the side panel. A custom HTML widget is there if you ever want to paste an embed code.
Will editing a page break my live store?
No. Your changes are saved as a draft and shoppers keep seeing the published version. Preview the draft privately, then publish when you're happy. Every publish is kept as a revision you can restore.
Can I have a different header on some pages?
Yes. Create several headers and give each display conditions — for example one header for the home page and another for everything else, or a special header for a single category. The most specific match is shown.
Can I design my own product page layout?
Yes. Product templates use widgets such as product title, images, price, add to cart, specifications and FAQs, filled with each product's real data. You can apply a template to every product, to products in a category or brand, or to one product.
Where do form submissions go?
Into the Forms inbox in your admin, and each one is also emailed to your store's contact address. A form can also add the email address to your newsletter subscribers.
Is the builder included in the free trial?
