SellOrchard

B2B & wholesale

Retail and trade from the same shelf

Cafés, stockists and resellers buy differently: by the case, on account, at their own price. Serve them from the store you already run.

  • Customer groups
  • Quantity breaks
  • Trade applications
  • Minimum orders
  • Net terms

Why wholesale gets messy

Trade orders still arrive by email and spreadsheet

  • Price lists in PDFs

Every stockist has a different sheet, and none of them update when your costs change.

  • Orders by email

Someone retypes each trade order into the system — and gets a quantity wrong.

  • Payment on account

Trade customers expect 30 days to pay; online checkouts expect a card now.

How SellOrchard helps

Wholesale in four blocks, plus the API

The first four blocks are parts of Wholesale & B2B, shown separately. The API is its own feature.

Customer groups & price lists

Part of Wholesale & B2B

Each group sees its own prices

Put trade customers into groups and give each group a price list.

What you can do

  • A percentage off retail for everything in the store
  • Or fixed prices per variant for that group
  • “Trade price” labels for signed-in members
  • Discount codes limited to chosen groups

Quantity breaks

Part of Wholesale & B2B

Better prices by the case

Add price tiers from a minimum quantity, for everyone or for one group.

What you can do

  • Tiers from 2 units upwards, per variant
  • A “Buy 10+ for $X each” table on the product page
  • Unit price updates live as the quantity changes

Trade accounts

Part of Wholesale & B2B

Applications without the back-and-forth

A wholesale page on your store collects applications; approved accounts join a group.

What you can do

  • Company, tax ID, website and a message on the application
  • Approve or reject with an email to the applicant, or approve automatically
  • Hide prices from guests (“Sign in to see prices”) if you sell trade-only

Terms & checkout rules

Part of Wholesale & B2B

Checkout that behaves like an account

Group settings change what happens at checkout for their members.

What you can do

  • Pay by invoice with 7, 15, 30, 45 or 60-day terms and a due date on the order
  • A minimum order value, with a notice showing how much is left
  • Tax-exempt groups and free shipping per group

Apps & API

Connect your ERP or accounting tool

Use the REST API and webhooks to move orders, customers and stock between systems.

Explore Apps & APIPro and Advanced plans (and the free trial, in test mode)

What you can do

  • Read and write orders, customers and inventory
  • Webhooks for new orders and stock changes
  • Scoped keys per integration

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

Can I run retail and wholesale in one store?

Yes. Guests and retail customers see retail prices; signed-in members of a group see that group’s prices.

Can I hide prices from people who aren’t approved?

Yes. Turn on “hide prices for guests” and visitors see “Sign in to see prices” and can’t add to cart.

How do quantity breaks and group prices combine?

The shopper pays the lower of their group price and the best quantity-break price they qualify for.

Can trade customers pay later?

Give a group net terms (7 to 60 days) and “Pay by invoice” appears at checkout for its members. The order is placed unpaid with a due date, and you mark it paid when the money arrives.

Can trade orders be tax exempt?

Yes. Mark the group tax exempt and its members’ orders carry no tax.
