Needs the Apps or Settings staff area (owners and admins always). Sidebar Apps: App Store /apps (categories, search, sort by popular / rating / newest; cards show the icon, tagline, rating, pricing and "Installed"), each app's page /apps/{slug} (screenshots, description, developer, pricing, the permissions it asks for, reviews) and Installed apps /apps/installed.

  1. Install: on the app page (or a link from the developer, https://app.sellorchard.com/install/{slug} — pick the store if you have several) you see the consent screen: the app, its developer, what it may read and change in plain language, optional permissions you can switch off, the webhooks it gets and its privacy policy. Approve & install sends you to the app to finish. Apps that connect to your store need the Pro or Advanced plan (or the free trial); SellOrchard's own apps (ShipStation, Google & Meta channels, Printful & Printify) work on every plan and just open the matching page (Settings → ShipStation, Marketing → Sales channels, Products → Print on demand).
  2. What an app can do: exactly the permissions you approved, through the SellOrchard API (like an API key; 120 requests a minute, 30 on the free trial). Its calls appear in Settings → Developers → API logs with the app's name, and its changes in Settings → Activity as "… via app {name}". It gets the events it asked for (orders, products, …) as webhooks automatically. Paid apps bill you themselves — the price on the listing is for information.
  3. Installed apps: open an app (inside the admin for embedded apps, or in a new tab), see its permissions, who installed it and when. Update permissions appears when the app asks for new permissions — until you accept, it keeps the old ones. Uninstall (with confirmation) revokes its access at once, removes its webhooks and tells the app; data it already copied stays with the developer under their privacy policy. Reinstalling starts over with a new approval.
  4. Reviews: once an app is installed you can rate it (1–5 stars, title and text) — one review per store; the developer can reply.
  5. Build your own app: any account can open the developer portal (/developer), Become a developer (SellOrchard approves developer accounts), create an app (listing, setup — app URL, embedded or not, redirect URLs, webhook URL and topics, the permissions it needs — and credentials: the client secret is shown once, Roll secret makes a new one), Test install it on a store you own while it's a draft, then Submit for review. Apps can be unlisted (installable only by link) for private apps. Guide: sellorchard.com/docs/apps.
